Bruschetta recipe

Made with Spelt bread, this version is a more alkalising alternative, and gives a twist to the traditional recipe!


Ingredients (for one person):

  • 2 slices of Spelt Bread
  • 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • 1 garlic or tsp of garlic paste
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 Red Onion, finely chopped
  • A couple of Basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil for drizzling, Himalayan salt and pepper to taste



  1. Place the slices of bread on a grill plate or a frying pan with olive oil
  2. Grill on both sides.
  3. Take the bread out, rub one side with garlic cloves, or add a bit of garlic paste.
  4. Cut the tomatoes, and combine with chopped onion and olive oil.
  5. Season to taste with black pepper and Himalayan salt
